CHB 100
INDUSTRIAL COLD STORE

CHB 100

Description
The cold store is mounted on an extruded aluminium frame.
 Materials used meet industrial standards.
This unit can be used at various levels and for different fields of study.
Refrigeration and Electrical Kits  (CHK134 and CHK 404) are are available to allow for the installation of this cold store.

Teaching suggested applications*
The main purpose is to enable students to install a cold store. They will have to:
• Design the refrigeration circuit
• Design the electrical circuit
• Arrange the refrigeration elements so they agree with the design.
• Connect the elements using copper pipes and brass connections
• Charge the unit with refrigerant and check for leaks
• Connect the wiring as drawn in the design.

CHK 134
STUDENT KIT FOR POSITIVE INDUSTRIAL COLD STORE

CHK 134

Description
The refrigeration kit contains the elements required for the installation of a refrigeration unit. ref. CHB 100.
 Materials used meet industrial standards.
- Refrigerant R 134a is used to conform with new standards

Teaching suggested applications*

This unit enables students to install a refrigeration unit to create a cold store.
They will have to:
• Design a working refrigeration unit using the components provided.
• Draw a diagram circuit showing how the elements are connected to an electrical source.
• Arrange the various components correctly
• Connect the components making up the refrigeration unit, using  copper pipes and brass connections
• Charge the unit with  refrigerant and check for leaks
• Connect the unit to an electrical source.
